Electoral districts and polling divisions (current)

Below are PDFs of the 19 current electoral districts (in effect for any by-elections) and approved boundaries for a general election if held before March 30, 2025, (maybe advanced).

Maps include a map of the Yukon, a composite map for the City of Whitehorse, and detailed maps for each of the Yukon's 19 electoral districts. District maps are provided in alphabetical order.

Electoral District Boundaries Commission

The Commission was appointed on December 14, 2023. Their mandate was to review the existing electoral districts and make proposals to the Legislative Assembly on the boundaries, number, and name of the Yukon’s electoral districts.

Members of the Commission were:

• Chief Justice Suzanne Duncan (Chair, member by legislation)
• Patricia Cunning (chosen by the Yukon Liberal Party)
• Warren Holland (chosen by the Yukon Party)
• Elizabeth Hanson (chosen by the Yukon New Democratic Party)
• Maxwell Harvey (Chief Electoral Officer, member by legislation)

The work of the Commission generally spans 12 months. There are two principal phases:

• the call for submissions and analysis leading to the interim report. This period can last up to 7 months.
• once the interim report is released, a series of public hearings are held to provide further input on the proposed boundaries and to provide an opportunity to comment before the final report. This period can take up to five months following the release of the interim report

The Commission submitted an interim and final report to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. The Legislative Assembly intorduced an Electoral District Boundaries Act based on the Commission's proposal. Once enacted, the electoral boundaries will come into effect six months after assent.
